Russell S Goldman, CPA
Russ Goldman, Certified Public Accountant, is a 1982 graduate of the University of Alabama, with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Russ has an extensive background in individual tax return preparation as well as tax planning. He is a member of The American Institute of CPAs and the Georgia Society of CPAs where he is the President of the North Atlanta Chapter and he is on the Peer Review Committee.
His previous work experience includes public accounting with a large regional accounting firm, consulting with a national accounting firm, controller of accounting for a large concrete company, and senior manager of accounting for a large telecommunications company. In private practice, he has experience in many lines of business including telecommunications, international consulting, public utilities, airlines, and medical practices.
Russ manages the firm and leads the tax, audit and business valuation functions in the firm.
Karen Goldman
Karen Goldman is a 1982 graduate of the University of Alabama, with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She has over 25 years of work experience this includes working in the controllers division of two large commercial banks with concentrations in the area of budgeting/forecasting, financial analysis, and cost accounting. Karen also worked for an international bank consulting company, concentrating on financial analysis and cost accounting. Her clients included large commercial banks and merchant credit card processing companies. Karen has owned and managed a successful telecommunications company. Karen has worked with Goldman & Company since 2001. Her primary role with the firm is working with business clients as an interim CFO, QuickBooks support, and business tax preparation.
Colette Malone
Colette Malone is a 1995 graduate of Lee University, with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She worked with a CPA firm in Tennessee and has been with Goldman & Company CPAs since 2006. She has worked with many different types of clients including not for profits. She is highly experienced in QuickBooks and Peachtree Accounting as well as individual, business and not for profit tax preparation. Her primary role with the firm is preparing financial statements and tax returns for all our clients.
Philip Kahn CFP,CPA
Philip Kahn, Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and Certified Public Accountant, is a 1983 graduate of the University of Georgia, with Bachelor of Business in Accounting. His previous work experience includes public accounting with an international accounting firm, controller and investment manager for a large beverage distribution company, CFO for two companies involved in business sales and a consultant on an additional business sale. Philip also has an extensive background in individual tax return preparation as well as tax planning. He is a member of The Financial Planning Association and The Georgia Society of CPAs.
